FAQ
Frequently asked questions
PRP therapy success is based on how good your blood product is. Please ensure you are well hydrated to ensure the nurse is able to collect blood efficiently. We recommend starting to hydrate 24-48 hours in advance.
No Omega-3, green tea, coffee, alcohol, or non-steroidal anti-inlfammaroty medications 1 week prior. This will increase your chances of bruising if you do not adhere.
Traditional PRP is most successful with multiple treatments.
For hair restoration, we recommend 3 treatments 4 weeks apart, and then 1 treatment every 3 months along with maintenance (until desired results achieved) following this to maintain hair growth.
The sequencing above can also be applied to facial injections for skin rejuvenation and collagen building within the nasolabial folds, laugh lines, under the eyes, and more.
For PRP NaturaGel, we recommend starting with 1 session and waiting 6-8 weeks to do a 2nd session if needed. The longevity of 1 session is around 3-4 months on average. Doing a secondary session can lengthen your treatment average to 6-9 months! Everyone is different for how they 'hang onto" the product.
Microneedling is perfect for collagen production. It will improve acne scars, texture, hydration, shrink pores, and reduce fine lines/wrinkles. The treatment can be done on the face and neck, please see our booking site for pricing and options.
We typically use hyaluronic acid for regular microneedling appointments along with our Health Canada Licensed E-Pen. For premium hyaluronic acid from Revanesse, there is a premium charge as this is the most potent version of hyaluronic acid on the market right now. PRP, VAMP Polynucleotides, botox, and Exosomes can also b e paired with microneedling for rejuvenated skin.
It is important to ensure your provider is using a Health Canada Approved device as there are many on the market that can cause damage to the skin.
This answer is dependant on what your goals are. Generally, 4 weeks between sessions is recommended to ensure your skin has optimal time to recover.
For more intense therapies for acne scars or pigmentation, we recommend completing microneedling sessions until satisfied.
BioRePeel can be paired with microneedling.
BioRePeel is recommended for a more intense treatment, it is a TCA peel to help with hyperpigmentation and acne.
ZO Skin Health peels are much more gentle. The stimulator peel is recommended for those who are looking to improve complexion, tone, acne scars, and get a good glow. The restorative peel is recommended for those who have an altered skin barrier and need some extra help to repair it.
The ZO peels can be done as a 'one off' before big events, or weekly until desired effect is reached.
BioRePeel BLUE is a biphase peel for the face, neck, and decollate. This 35% TCA peel was formulated in Italy and is extremely sought after in Europe. Fine Lines Studio carries BioRePeel due to it's impressive results and no downtime.
No downtime?!? Yes. You read that correctly. BioRePeel requires no down time, one of the many reasons we love it! With a classic chemical peel, recovery can be difficult as the skin sheds - it's hard not to pick at it, you can't wear makeup, the skin feels tight and uncomfortable. BioRePeel is completely different! Majority of people do not peel at all; dryness/flakes can be expected depending on your skin type.
After a light cleanse and exfoliation, the peel takes no longer than 7-9 minutes to work its magic before we remove it, and apply post-care serums/creams.
Yes - BioRePeel can be completed at any time of year and on any Fitzpatrick skin type.
